Tor Bramble, an imprint at Pan Macmillan, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Thirsty, plus a further standalone fantasy romance, by debut author Lucy Lehane. Assistant Editor Grace Barber acquired UK and British Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Chris Scheina at Macmillan US.

My Roommate is a Vampire meets Boyfriend Material in Thirsty, a paranormal romantic comedy of queer romance, found family and delicious enemies-to-lovers tension. The story follows Charlie, a struggling advice columnist, who teams up with a 239-year-old vampire to learn more about the supernatural community. But undeniable chemistry and a revenge plot complicate matters . . . Tor Bramble will publish Thirsty alongside St Martin’s Griffin in October 2025.

Lucy Lehane says: ‘I just wanted to write someone asking a vampire a bunch of pestersome questions about paranormal dating and sex, and then Thisty happened. I’m beyond thrilled that the book has found its perfect home with Grace and the entire Tor UK team!’

Grace Barber comments: ‘Thirsty is the perfect vampire-filled romp: laugh-out-loud funny, delightfully entertaining, steamy and full of charm. I’m beyond thrilled to be welcoming Lucy to the Tor Bramble team, and I cannot wait for readers to meet Charlie, Lorenzo and friends later this year’.

About the author
Lucy Lehane writes love stories about terrible people. Her interests include politics, cheese and game nights with friends. Exactly no one in her life was surprised to learn that she had written a romance novel. By day she is an attorney, and by night, after her son is asleep, and after otherwise procrastinating for as long as humanly possible, she sometimes writes. Thirsty is her debut paranormal romance.
