Pan Macmillan win Publisher of the Year at the Nibbies 2020
Pan Macmillan is delighted to have won Publisher of the Year at the British Book Awards for the third time in six years, as well as scooping four other BBA prizes.
Pan Macmillan has won Publisher of the Year at the British Book Awards 2020, an award we are delighted to have received for the third time in six years. The judges praised Pan Macmillan for a year that saw TCM sales leap by 25% with only one week without a book in the TCM top 10, saying that Pan Mac’s figures were ‘incredible across every bit of the company’.
The judges were also impressed by Pan Macmillan’s care of authors and staff, charity partnerships and work on diversity. As one author put it: ‘I’m in awe of how Pan Macmillan retains such a friendly and warm atmosphere while operating at the scale and level that it does.’
We were also proud to take home four other major prizes: Marketing Strategy of the Year which was awarded to Jodie Mullish, Will Upcott, Andy Joannou and Alex Ellis for Pinch of Nom; The British Book Award for Export which was awarded to Jonathan Atkins and the Pan Mac international team; Editor of the Year which was awarded to Carole Tonkinson, Publisher of our Bluebird imprint; and Non-fiction Lifestyle Book of the Year which was awarded to Kate Allinson and Kaye Featherstone, authors of runaway best-seller Pinch of Nom.
