The Queen’s Birthday Honours lists, published on Her Majesty’s official 90th birthday, recognise the achievements of a wide range of extraordinary people across the UK.
Brian Blessed, whose memoir Absolute Pandemonium was published by Pan Macmillan in 2015, received an OBE for services to the Arts and charity.
Anna Kessel, sports writer and author of Eat, Sweat, Play, an inspiratonal call to arms for women in sport, has been awarded an MBE for services to journalism and women’s sport.
Jayne Senior, who first exposed the child sexual abuse scandal in Rotherham, was honoured for services to child protection in the town. Broken and Betrayed, Senior's account of a life spent working to protect Rotherham's girls, the pressure put on her to stop rocking the boat, and why she risked prison in the hope that she could help end the appalling child exploitation in the town was published by Pan Macmillan in March 2016.
