An Anonymous Girl, the second novel from US writing duo Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen will be published by Pan Macmillan, after Associate Publisher Wayne Brookes won UK and Commonwealth (excluding Canada) rights from Kerry Nordling at St Martin’s Press. Pan Macmillan acquired An Anonymous Girl and one other book from the writing partners after the massive success of their first novel together, The Wife Between Us.

When Jessica Farris signs up for a psychology study conducted by the mysterious Dr. Shields, she thinks all she’ll have to do is answer a few questions, collect her money, and leave. But as the questions grow more and more intense and the sessions become outings where Jess is told what to wear and how to act, she begins to feel as though Dr. Shields may know what she’s thinking…and what she’s hiding. As Jess’s paranoia grows, it becomes clear that she can no longer trust what in her life is real, and what is one of Dr. Shields’ manipulative experiments. Caught in a web of deceit and jealousy, Jess quickly learns that some obsessions can be deadly.

Hendricks and Pekkanen said, “We could not be more thrilled to be continuing our relationship with Pan Macmillan. They brought so much creativity and enthusiasm to the publication of The Wife Between Us, putting our debut novel into the hands of countless UK readers.”

Wayne Brookes said, “I am in awe of Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. Everything about them just amazes me. The Wife Between Us showed that two heads were better than one when it comes to plotting those hidden twists and was a Times bestseller on both sides of the Atlantic as well as a Richard and Judy book club pick. An Anonymous Girl does even more to show that this thriller-writing duo are here to stay. I cannot wait for the book-buying public to read the next instalment from two of the most exciting writers to enter the thriller-writing arena for years.”

An Anonymous Girl, which has already been bought by eOne for development as a TV series, is set to be published in hardback on the 7th February 2019.
