Carole Tonkinson, Publisher of Bluebird an imprint of Pan Macmillan, has acquired world rights to two new books from Joe Wicks in a deal with Bev James of Bev James Management.

The first of these will be Wean in 15 and is scheduled for June 2020. This will be Joe’s take on how to slowly and healthily wean your baby onto solid foods, while keeping preparation and cooking time to a minimum.

Wean in 15 will include 100 recipes for babies and toddlers, plus a chapter featuring exercises for parents who may have to change their fitness regimes to fit around a new baby. These easy and quick home workouts will help parents keep up their energy levels to meet the demands of family life. The second book in the deal will also build on Joe’s strategy to get the nation eating healthily from the first mouthful and will focus on families.

Joe Wicks has enjoyed incredible success, selling nearly 3 million books, since publishing his first title Lean in 15: The Shape Plan in 2015. Last month, Joe’s 30 Minute Meals went straight in at Number 1 on the Bestseller list and excitement is already building for Veggie Lean in 15 set to publish 13th December 2018.

Carole Tonkinson, Bluebird Publisher says: ‘I couldn’t be more excited about Wean in 15. Joe is such a brilliant, hands-on dad and he is putting so much time and energy into looking at the best way to wean. The book will cover baby-led and more traditional weaning and fantastic flavours to encourage a varied and healthy diet in even the youngest eaters.’

Bev James says: We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Bluebird and Carole Tonkinson. Since we first signed Joe’s debut book Lean in 15, Carole has expertly guided the book through creation and onto best-seller status. We are all very excited about Wean in 15 and bringing Joe’s ethos to a whole new generation.
